      Metaphors (a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance)

      Analogies (similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar)

      Hyperbole (figure of speech which is an exaggeration)

      Onomatopoeia (the formation or use of words that imitate the sounds associated with the objects or actions they refer to)

      Personification (a figure of speech in which inanimate objects or abstractions are endowed with human qualities or are represented as possessing human form)

      Idioms (a manner of speaking that is natural to native speakers of a language)
