Similes (a figure of speech in which two unlike things are compared using like or as)
Metaphors (a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance)
Analogies (similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar)
Hyperbole (figure of speech which is an exaggeration)
Onomatopoeia (the formation or use of words that imitate the sounds associated with the objects or actions they refer to)
